The Toyota Corolla has been around for a while, and it has influenced a new crossover that shares its name. The 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross is a lot like the venerable Toyota sedan, but it’s naturally a bit bigger. There are also some other differences to be aware of if you’re choosing between these two new Toyota vehicles at Heritage Toyota Harrisburg.

Space

The 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross is a bit bigger, which shouldn’t be a surprise since it’s a crossover and the 2023 Toyota Corolla is a sedan. Both offer room for five, but the Toyota Corolla Cross will give occupants a bit more room to stretch out and up to 24 cubic feet of cargo room to make use of.

Trim Levels

The Toyota Corolla Cross is available in three trim levels, but the Toyota Corolla offers seven in total. Three of the sedan’s trim levels are traditional gasoline models, and four of them are electrified.

Engine Options

Both models can be equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine that produces 169 horsepower, but the Toyota Corolla sedan also offers a hybrid powertrain. The electrified trim levels come equipped with a smaller 1.8-liter engine and an electric motor that combine to make 138 horsepower. If reducing your carbon footprint is a priority, the sedan might be your preferred model.

Drivetrain

Every Toyota Corolla sedan comes equipped with a front-wheel drive system. This is also the default setting for the Toyota Corolla Cross, but you can equip this model with an all-wheel drive system. The sedan doesn’t offer AWD.
