While some models now have a hybrid option, others have been completely revamped and only come as a hybrid. The Toyota Sienna falls into this latter category. No longer a gas-powered vehicle, the Toyota Sienna Hybrid minivan has terrific fuel economy, along with a bevy of additional amenities!
Power and Performance
The Toyota Sienna comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors that combine to generate 245 horsepower. This setup is paired with a continuously variable automatic (CVT). Front-wheel drive is standard, but electronic on-demand all-wheel drive is available. This minivan has very nice acceleration, and its athleticism may surprise you.
As you would expect from a hybrid, the Toyota Sienna gets fantastic gas mileage for its class: 36 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway.
Space and Comfort
The 2021 Toyota Sienna can fit up to eight people with a second-row bench, and seven people with second-row captain's chairs. Cloth upholstery is standard, and upgrades include heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and synthetic or genuine leather upholstery.
As for cargo room, you’ll get quite a lot of it: 33.5 cubic feet behind the back row, 75.2 cubic feet with it folded, and 101 cubic feet with both back rows down. A power liftgate is standard equipment for seamless loading and unloading.
Tech and Safety
The amount of standard tech and safety features found in the Toyota Sienna is impressive:
- Apple CarPlay™
- Android Auto™
- Satellite radio
- A Wi-Fi hot spot
- Lane departure warning
- Rear cross-traffic alert
- Road sign detection
- And more!
