2019 Camry SE Disappointment

3.0
I had a 2010 Camry SE which I loved. I traded it in due to the fact it had 200,000 miles on it and I drive far to work. I purchased the 2019 Camry SE which doesn't even come close. I will first say that this is a very attractive car with great gas mileage, but the great stops there. There are some parts on this car that are very cheaply made.
Such as the door handles, window buttons, even the turn signals have issues.
It also seems like a have new chip in my paint weekly, even after having extra protection applied. The road noise is extremely loud and it seems like there is some weird wind draft noise when driving on the interstate. And, let me not forget to mention the hesitation in acceleration. This is definitely a safety concern. I expected more from a $30,000 car.…
Great Car with a Horrible Transmission

Ive wanted the 2018 Camry XSE since the first time I saw it. It took me about 3 months before I bought it, because I wanted to make sure I was making a good purchase.
I paid a great price for my car and I find the car very good. It is efficient, has many security items, but there is something that is bothering me so much, that is the transmission. The gear changes are slow and accelerating the Camry soon after a slowing down is a terrible thing. The transmission is always hesitating to change gears. I complained about this problem in the Toyota Dealer and was given the wonderful solution to avoid using the ECO mode and always use the SPORT mode. I confess I was surprised that the solution given by the Toyota Dealer because I believe that Toyota Engineers are a little smarter and able to design a better transmission than the one in my car.
I have prayed a lot for Toyota engineers to find a solution to this problem, otherwise Ill have to change my Camry for an Accord.…
Would not but this car now.

Love Toyota. This is my 2nd Camry SE. Got it a 16% off MSRP. No complaints about price and value. HOWEVER, I regret buying this car until Toyota fixes its many flaws. Seriously -- Stop now and do not buy this car. Road noise (in PA) is awful. Technology is unexpectedly terrible: Dash controls actually are worse than last generation's (don't promote that engineer!) and the apps are way worse than you'd expect from a world class company: Really, really terrible. Camry SE performs great on the road but feels every -- and I mean every -- bump in the road. Why would you do that? (Actually, handling reminds me or my 1985 Porsche 911 -- where you turn the wheel and the car turns without delay....) Love to drive this car but Toyota, which sells millions of Camrys each year, could make the current Camry really, really special. Without a doubt, do not but this car until Toyota improves the dash controls (i.e. heat, a/c...), the smartphone technology/integration, and the ride dynamics of the current Camry. Looks great, needs improvement to be a world class car.…
